Anna Leigh Ashford
Annaleigh Amanda Ashford (born April 14th 1988) was an American actor, singer, and dancer. Her early Broadway parts included Wicked Legally Blonde & Hair. in You Can't Take It With You in which she was awarded the Tony Award as Best Featured actress in a Play. Annaleigh is a collaborator on projects with award-winning director, actors and producers throughout her career. Ashford is set to next appear alongside Kumail in Robert Siegel's Hulu-exclusive show Welcome to Chippendales which premieres November 22. Ashford is currently working on the film of Searchlight Pictures' terror thriller Dust starring Sarah Paulson. It will also be available in the form of an Hulu Original on Disney DTC. Ashford's Broadway return is scheduled to take place in the month of March 2023, when he is paired with Josh Groban for the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. The production is produced by Thomas Kail and produced by Jeffrey Seller, the team who brought you Hamilton. Ashford most recently starred Paula Jones in the new Ryan Murphy FX series American Crime Story Impeachment based on the crisis in America that picked into Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky and Linda Tripp as principal characters in the country's first impeachment proceedings in over 100 years. She was the star of two seasons on CBS comedy B Positive. The show was created by Marco Pennette and Chuck Lorre the series also starred legendary performers Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo and Ben Vereen.No new to Broadway Ashford won the Tony Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for her portrayal of Essie In You Can't Take It with You. Sunday in the Park starring George Wicked and Legally Blonde are amongst her additional Broadway performances. Ashford is a native of Denver. She was born and born in Denver, now spends time in Los Angeles and New York.
